Thank Goodness for Chocolate!
I’m kicking off December with my favorite winter and holiday drink – Hot Chocolate!
I can’t drink enough of it throughout the holidays and the wonderfully cold winter.
I’ve discovered my love for dark chocolate during my cancer journey, when I found out that dark chocolate contains antioxidants that can prevent and fight cancer and boosts energy among other things. So it’s empowering you while you slip into temporary blitz. Just make sure the dark chocolate is at least 70% cacao to enjoy the powerful nutrients. So, treat yourself to this delicious and powerful drink that will keep you healthy and happy throughout December and beyond.
4 cups of organic dairy free milk, such as almond, soy, nut milk; preferably unsweetened.
6 ounces dark vegan chocolate, chopped; at least 70% cocoa & organic
1 tablespoon of organic maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon organic ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon organic ground cardamom
Place all the ingredients in a saucepan and heat on medium low, whisking until the dark chocolate has melted. It takes about 5 minutes. Carefully pour into your favorite mug and let it do its magic.
