Detox Smoothie

Here’s an easy, powerful, and yummy smoothie to help you detox your poor body of fats and toxins, and help “stuff” move along, so you can be cleansed until the next holiday or vacation gluttony. It happens.
You can use whatever foods you have or in season. No need to measure. Just use as much or little of each ingredients as your want. I just grab a handful and I’m generous with the fruits, which are sweeter and tastier.
In the fall and winter, I buy organic frozen mixed berries and put it in my smoothie daily. I also add 2 bananas rather than one to make it sweeter than using sugar of any kind. Bananas are affordable, tastes great, and easy to peel. I use baby greens, which are easy to handle, wash, and packs a powerful nutritional punch.
Try to drink the smoothie within 30 minutes of making it and on a relatively empty stomach for optimum affect. I drink my smoothie in the morning before breakfast.


Organic berries of any kind (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, etc)
Organic Bananas
Organic Greens: organic baby spinach, kale, Swiss chard, etc
Organic Beets
Organic unpeeled apples
Organic celery
Organic carrots
Ginger (2 thin slices)
Optional: pinch of flaxseed or chia seeds

Chop all the ingredients into small cubes and place them in a blender. Pour the milk and mix on regular speed for a few minutes and then on high until everything is incorporated.

Drink slowly and let it do its magic!
